Growing Our Local Food Economy (GOLFE) was a three year project (2014-2017) coordinated by LESS & funded by the Esmee Fairbairn Foundation. GOLFE, as its name suggests, aimed to strengthen and grow Lancaster’s sustainable local food economy.
GOLFE aimed to:
- Connect consumers with where their food comes from.
- Identify and remove the barriers to buying and selling sustainable local food.
- Track the broader benefits that local spending can bring.
