LESS is looking to bring new skills and perspectives onto the board to help build our organisational resilience during this exciting time.
Over the past five years, LESS has grown from an organisation that employs two part-time staff, to 20 part-time staff and 4 freelancers. We have recently purchased a community farm in Lancaster with
support from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and this will be developed to include
food production, community building, education and training.
We are keen to welcome more directors onto our board to help us navigate this
period of growth. In particular, we are looking for people with expertise in Finance, IT, HR, Equalities, Diversity & Inclusion, Safeguarding and Health & Safety.
LESS is a not for profit Community Interest Company, working in Lancaster District since 2007 to build climate resilience and support more sustainable living. LESS currently holds the coordination function for the FoodFutures network and has supported the set up of other strategic local food projects such as Gather, The Plot, Where The Wildings Are! and the Closing Loops project.
LESS is seeking a couple of new Directors to join our team. These are voluntary roles and we welcome people who are passionate about local food systems, creative local solutions to global challenges and/or have skills/experience outlined above.
