Our staff and volunteers ran regular free bills clinics where we helped people review their energy bills to find the best provider and tariff for them. Households saved an average of £289 a year through this process. Our record was a whopping £820 a year saved!
We offered regular drop-in sessions at local libraries. We also delivered one-off clinics across Lancashire at a variety of venues.
Our clinics were funded through the Deprtment of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) through their Big Energy Saving Network initiative.
We also supported OFGEM's 'Be an Energy Shopper' campaign (www.goenergyshopping.co.uk) which has impartial advice on switching suppliers and tariffs, and lists switching sites which meet high standards of quality and service.
