Climate Change Action Report
Between July 2009 and July 2010 LESS employed a Climate Change Action Co-ordinator for Lancaster District funded by the Lancaster District Local Strategic Partnership.
The main task of Liz Horn the co-ordinator was to assess how well the district is doing in working towards the government target for reducing per-capita carbon emissions (known as NI186) . This requires Lancaster to reduce per capita carbon emissions by 14.01% between 2005 and 2011.
This is a challenging target and requires commitment from all sectors, as well as communities and individuals, to reduce their carbon emissions.
The report, which has been submitted to the LDLSP, can be downloaded here.
